Hey Guys. Last year I embarked on my journey to become a legally Certified Life Coach. I had previously worked with coaches to better my own life. I found it so beneficial that I knew I wanted to become a legally certified coach. To be honest I had wanted to go into Life Coaching for a number of years. It was only after working privately with my own coach that I felt confident to take the leap diving headfirst into the training and process of becoming a coach.
I had struggled with mental health for as long as I could remember. From the ages of 14 – 18 I was hospitalized in a child and adolescent psychiatric unit. I was discharged not much different to how I went in. Older, larger and more complex maybe but definitely not healed. I did years of intensive therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, trauma therapy, psychotherapy. Any therapy available I have done but there is a huge difference between therapy and working with a coach.
1:1 Coaching Sessions
For me therapy was hashing out the past hoping I could release the pain. I am 26 years old now. I was 12 when I first sat in the big chair of a therapist’s office. Therapy is fantastic and honestly I think we all need to be in therapy but for me coaching was the way forward. I didn’t need nor want to talk about the pain of my past. What I really needed was a concise plan for the future. I wanted to build my future and I needed a coach to help me do that. I still suffer from depression and there are days I don’t want to leave the bed but having a coach keeps me accountable. It kept me on track with my goals. When I didn’t have the energy to remain positive my coach was the backbone that kept me moving forward.
What is Coaching?
Coaching is the process of partnering with a client to provide thought provoking sessions that inspire the client to take positive action. As coaches we don’t have the answers you need, nor do we have a magic wand. What we do have is intensive training and education. We are then able to assist you in our sessions to uncover what’s holding you back while also making positive action plans in order to move forward.
We will support you in any way that we can. As coaches our job isn’t to cure you or miraculously heal you. Our job is to be able to provide you with a 1:1 space along with our professional set of skills to enable you to make that change you desire. As coaches we have studied a number of frameworks that include coaching techniques, coaching questions and problem solving methods to be able to best serve you in reaching your dreams. Coaching is focused on what the client wants in their future rather than a focus on the past.
Introductory Coaching Session
My job as your coach is to help you get from where you are now to where you want to be. I offer a 12 week coaching program completely bespoke to you and your needs. We will start with an introductory session to map the answers to some of these questions.

What we can achieve working together
My goal is to use coaching techniques and training to help you uncover the obstacles and thought patterns holding you back. Every session ends with a positive action plan. I want to be able to leave every session with you confident knowing you’re closer to your goal. It’s my job to bring you from where you are right now to the best place you can be in. I do this by accessing your needs and wants and desires. After I work on creating your bespoke Client Action Plan. Your Client Action Plan is completely individual and I want you to be happy with it. Your input is most important.
